Everything old is new again

(Well, almost everything.)

We've been a little busy working on airplanes this year, but the F-89 was moved back inside this spring and work has continued.

Even after years of sitting outside in the harsh weather of Montana, the canopy still cleaned up well.

Volunteers spent many hours cleaning and polishing the exhaust.

Aircraft data plate.

The rear seat before...

and after.

We were able to acquire a new front seat and restored that too.

The cockpits have been stripped, cleaned, and repainted.

The instrument panels have been completely removed and cleaned. JR and Hal were able to perform a minor miracle tracking down many of the missing instruments.

Restoration is continuing. This gives you an example of the cramped confines Hal has to work in.
